With our vast global footprint evolving rapidly, there was a need for closer integration across operational functions to ensure regulatory compliance, speed to market, dependable deliveries, cost optimization, and continuous innovation.
Global Technical Operations (GTO) was established as an integrated way of working across Manufacturing, Procurement, and Supply Chain bringing core functions together to enable collaboration, shared accountability, and a strong sense of alignment globally.
GTO and its integrated model drive reliability by ensuring that planning, sourcing and manufacturing are aligned with each other and with regulatory bodies.
GTO was formed to respond to increasing challenges and opportunities, not just to sustain but to thrive. Through this unit, we at Lupin work as one integrated entity, and take joint ownership across functions, adapting, evolving and creating long-term value for our stakeholders.

At Lupin, we believe that true healthcare progress must go together with responsible operations. Our manufacturing approach is deeply rooted in sustainability, ensuring every product made, positively impacts not just individual health but our planet as well.
Environmental stewardship is part of our core. In FY25, we continued transitioning our operations to renewable energy while optimizing resource consumption across our manufacturing network. From adopting energy-efficient lighting, advanced pumping systems, and sustainable cooling technologies to investing in low-carbon processes, every action was driven with the purpose of preserving our ecosystem.
Notably, our Tarapur API facility earned a Gold Award at the 10th India Green Manufacturing Challenge organized by the International Research Institute for Manufacturing (IRIM), and our Ankleshwar site successfully completed the GME assessment in May 2024, being recognized as a leader in sustainable practices.
Our Drug Safety and Risk Management team oversees pharmacovigilance with a comprehensive quality management system aligned to global regulatory standards. We maintain accessible channels for patients and HCPs to report product inquiries, safety concerns or defects they find through dedicated communication channels.
We ensure every complaint or feedback reaches the relevant manufacturing teams for investigation and evaluation. We review adverse events through systematic processes that include report submissions to health authorities in compliance with local regulators.
We proactively monitor product safety through global literature surveillance, periodic risk-benefit assessments, and rigorous signal detection activities. Our KPIs include compliance with reporting deadlines to authorities like U.S. FDA, India’s DCGI, Health Canada, TGA in Australia and the UK MHRA.

Some of our learning initiatives include Enteral Drug Societies Education Course, Lupin Training Academy that feature classroom and practical training spaces.
We have institutionalized the Gemba Walkthrough Program across all facilities to promote real-time observation, cross-functional engagement, and proactive problem-solving. Our All-Time Inspection Readiness Programs, launched at Tarapur and Mandideep Unit-1, focus on critical quality subsystems with support from internal SMEs and external consultants. The NinjaX gamification platform fosters interactive learning and operational proficiency, with over 3,000 users and enhanced modules.
